He was born in 1978. He received his B.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Department of Biomedical Engineering (former Medical Instruments Technology) of the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, Greece, in 2002. He received his M.Sc. degree in Medical Physics from the University of Patras, Greece, in 2006. He was awarded a PhD in Medical Physics by the University of Patras, Greece, in 2010.

He is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the University of West Attica in the field of BIOMEDICAL INSTRUMENTATION (HARDWARE) OF DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS.

Research interests: Evaluation of single crystal scintillators and phosphors in medical imaging detectors – effect of fluorescent materials on detector performance, Medical device engineering, SPECT and PET Nuclear Medical Imaging detectors, subtractive resistor circuits, Front end electronics, Molecular imaging technology and applications in Medicine.
