Our PhD program is designed to advance knowledge and produce cutting edge research in biomedical engineering, providing a dynamic environment where ambitious students can enrol.

Program Overview

Students have the opportunity to work alongside internationally recognized faculty members on projects in biomedical engineering and closely related fields. Each PhD program is tailored to individual research interests, with a focus on developing the skills necessary to address complex biomedical challenges.

Research Areas

We offer research opportunities across a wide range of biomedical engineering fields, including but not limited to:

  • Biomedical Imaging and Signal Processing: Developing innovative imaging and signal processing techniques for improved diagnosis and treatment.
  • Nanotechnology and Materials Science: Exploring nanoscale materials for therapeutic and diagnostic applications in medicine.
  • Medical Devices and Instrumentation: Designing innovative devices that improve patient care, including diagnostic tools and therapeutic equipment tailored to specific medical needs.
  • Biomechanics and Rehabilitation Engineering: Enhancing human health through better understanding of biomechanics and developing assistive technologies.
  • Computational Biology and Bioinformatics: Applying computational approaches to understand biological data, including genomics and proteomics.
  • Cheminformatics and Drug Design: Leveraging chemical information and artificial intelligence tools for drug discovery and development.

Admission Requirements

Prospective students should have a strong academic background in engineering, biology, chemistry, physics, or a related field. The application process includes submission of:

  • A detailed CV/resume.
  • Official academic transcripts.
  • Two letters of recommendation.
  • A statement of research interests.
  • Proof of English proficiency (for non-native speakers).
