Evangelia Pantatosaki holds a Diploma and Doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) having been awarded a doctorate scholarship by the National Centre for Scientific Research (NCSR) “Demokritos”. She worked as postdoctoral research associate at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in Lyon, supported by an EU-Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship. Then, she was awarded a fellowship by the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), and a Grant of Excellence by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI) in order to conduct research at the School of Chemical Engineering of NTUA, in the field of engineering gene-based nanoparticles toward targeted cancer therapeutics by means of statistical mechanics-based computer simulations. She has been a Visiting Researcher at the Dept. of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering of the Johns Hopkins University (JHU). She has also served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor (Π.Δ. 407/80) at the National Technical University of Athens, and the University of West Attica whereat she is a faculty member since 2023.

Dr Pantatosaki’s research interests span computer modeling of chemical and biomolecular engineering processes rooted in statistical mechanics for the investigation of structure-property-performance relations in biomaterials and biochemical systems. She has participated in many international European funded research projects, either as primary or associate investigator. Her research has been recognized with awards and honors from a variety of actors, including the American Institute of Physics (AIP), the Thomaidis Foundation of NTUA, and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
