Ioannis Kakkos received a BSc. degree in Physics (2013) from the University of Patras, an MSc degree (2015) in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Patras and the National Technical University of Athens and a PhD in cognitive neuroengineering (2021) from the National Technical University of Athens. He has worked as a research associate with the Singapore Institute for Neurotechnology (SINAPSE) in several research projects. He currently holding a post-doctorate position in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens and an academic & research fellowship in the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the University of West Attica. He has 24 scientific publications in international scientific journals, book chapters and proceedings of international congresses and actively participates in multiple R&D projects. His interests include the transmission of nerve stimuli, the study of cognitive systems and processes and the development of AI techniques for cognitive signal processing and rehabilitation.
