Sarantoglou Georgios received his PhD degree in 2024 from the Department of Information and Communication Systems of the University of the Aegean, specializing in the field of Neuromorphic Photonics. He holds a Master’s degree in Microelectronics from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2022) and a Bachelor’s degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Patras (2016). His research experience includes the theoretical study and experimental analysis of photonic integrated technologies for artificial intelligence accelerators, the programming of photonic bio-inspired spiking neural networks, and the design of machine learning systems for image processing, telecommunications signals, and cryptography applications.
His research interests include neuromorphic processing technologies, photonic integrated circuits for high-frequency signal processing, artificial intelligence accelerators, and quantum photonic integrated systems for security and signal processing applications.
