Application Professor P. Liaparinos of our Department visited Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Department of Mechatronics, Optics and Mechanical Engineering Informatics in Budapest, Hungary during the week 10-16 April 2016, under the Erasmus+ collaboration between the two institutions.

During his stay, Mr. Liaparinos offered two talks:

• “Phosphor-based X-ray detectors: Basic principles and future prospects”
• “An introduction of Monte Carlo techniques in medical imaging application”

Applic. Professor P. Liaparinos visit closed with fruitful discussion with faculty members of the Department of Mechatronics, Optics and Mechanical Engineering Informatics regarding future research collaboration.
