Panagiotis Korkidis

Panagiotis Korkidis is a member of Laboratory Teaching Stuff at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, of the University of West Attica. His postgraduate studies, at the University of Sheffield, were supported by an EPSRC Scholarship, leading to an M.Sc. (M.Eng.) degree in Control Systems with distinction. He is currently pursuing a PhD degree in function approximation, with applications in scientific and engineering disciplines.

He has participated in funded research programs (Support for researchers with emphasis on young researchers – cycle B) and Erasmus+. He also has experience in teaching subjects such as computer architecture, digital systems design, fuzzy systems, hybrid systems of computational intelligence and control systems, as an academic fellow, in the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of West Attica.

His research interest focus on fuzzy and bayesian models, stochastic differential equations and evolutionary computing.
